Sekuro is proud that our Chief Growth Officer Shamane Tan has emerged as a winner of ‘The Cybersecurity Awards 2021’ (Professional category) at the AiSP’s award ceremony held on 14 January 2022.
The Cybersecurity Awards was held to celebrate the outstanding contributions of cyber security professionals and organisations to Singapore’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
“I remembered that my very first cybersecurity journey actually started out in Nanyang Technological University Singapore. There were only 2 other female students in the lecture theatre which amounts to less than 0.5% of the cohort,” reflected Shamane. “Never would I have imagined that decades later, I would be adding value to our global community while being an advocate for women in this field.”
Minister for Communications and Information and Minister-in-charge of Smart Nation and Cybersecurity Mrs Josephine Teo was the Guest of Honour at the event, and took the time to speak with the winners and thanked them for their contributions. Acknowledging Shamane’s achievements, Mrs Josephine Teo said, “Shamane is an advocate for Women in Cybersecurity, who has partnered Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) on many initiatives to encourage more women to join the field.”
Sekuro would like to extend a big congratulations to the rest of the awardees as well, and thank AiSP for this recognition and for organising the event
