Cyber security professionals often face a significant emotional toll, with 77% feeling a strong sense of duty to protect, yet 81% experiencing heightened psychological stress. 

What drives this issue, and how can it be resolved?

This talk will examine the reasons behind the increased mental health challenges in cyber security. We will focus on how certain gaps in some approaches and a lack of confidence in organisational security measures contribute to stress.

We will discuss the need for a combined top-down and bottom-up approach to risk management. By aligning executive strategies with practical realities, organisations can improve confidence in their security programmes and reduce stress for their cyber security teams.

This session will introduce perspectives and practical tips you can adopt to become a more effective communicator in your professional and personal life.

 

Co-Op Mode: Defence with an Attacker's Edge

This session explores the collaboration between Red and Blue Teams through real-world case studies, demonstrating how each team can refine their techniques based on the actions of the other. By dissecting attack patterns, identifying Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), and evolving offensive and defensive strategies, we’ll show how coordinated efforts between attackers and defenders can enhance overall security. Each case study highlights how Red Teams adapt their tactics to bypass detection, while Blue Teams update their defence mechanisms to counter even the most advanced threats, fostering a continuous cycle of improvement.

Breaching Corporate Facilities

Using redacted examples of Sekuro’s physical intrusion engagements on corporate facilities, physical intrusion specialists Steve Knight and Craig Dutton empower the audience to:

  • Understand the Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) that attackers use to target corporate infrastructure.

Entrepreneurship has a certain romance to it and what founders often do so well is to align people to the ’cause’. In this session Naomi shares what she does as a leader to focus people on the bigger game. Looking to consumer sentiment whilst staying focused using community contribution, she shares her leadership beliefs which will be relevant to anyone wishing to influence others.

By aligning ‘the right team’ to a vision, a deep sense of engagement and purpose she accelerated her idea into something big – but she has not done this without many bumps in the road, and great people around her. During this keynote discussion, Naomi will share her experiences and insights on frameworks, case studies and research, which are anchored around leadership, culture and the customer. She will finish the session by encouraging each participant to think about the ‘one thing’… that, if you worked on it, would make your experience of business easier each day. And whilst the near future is unknown she will connect audiences with her deep sense of positivity.
