To support its global expansion, Xiaomi established an International Operations Centre in Singapore, designed to meet the data compliance needs of its international users. This expansion ensures the separation of data permissions for users in mainland China and those abroad. Xiaomi engaged Privasec (now Sekuro) to guide its information security and privacy compliance efforts, including maintaining its Information Security Management System (ISMS) and achieving ISO 27001, ISO 27018, and ISO 27701 certifications.
Privasec (now Sekuro) provided strategic guidance to enhance Xiaomi’s information security and privacy management systems, focusing on supplier data security assessments and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs). This comprehensive engagement significantly strengthened Xiaomi’s security, privacy, and overall compliance posture. Using a tailored approach, Privasec (now Sekuro) helped establish a fully functional ISMS aligned with ISO 27001 for Xiaomi’s Singapore and Netherlands offices. Additionally, Privasec (now Sekuro) guided Xiaomi’s international MIUI business to achieve ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 27018 certifications, demonstrating a strong commitment to data privacy.
