Happy First Birthday Sekuro!

As Sekuro approaches its first birthday, Noel Allnutt, the Managing Director Of Sekuro, reflects upon the Sekurian Journey over the past year and the exciting places Sekuro is heading:

My heart is filled with gratitude and it is my honour to be the Managing Director of Sekuro. I believe what we're looking to deliver in the market and what we do on a day-to-day basis will leave a lasting impact on the digital economy of Australia. And I can't wait to go on many more years of this exciting adventure with you.

Thank you to the team for everything that you do for this organisation, for our customers and our partners. It means the world to us on the leadership team. I wish you a very happy birthday, and I can't wait to see what we achieve in the next 12 months.

The Sekuro Journey

Sekuro has been an amazing journey. We brought four organisations together because we all believed in a stronger vision. A vision of creating a business that delivered end-to-end cyber security and business resilience to the organisations across Australia. We see an opportunity for Australia to thrive in the digital economy. We see an opportunity for Australia to lead the way in how customers, communities, governments interact with this. I see a way that Australia can lead in the way that their organisations, governments, and communities interact with each other on the digital stage. We’ve got a unique opportunity ahead of us to really shape that journey.

The work that we’re doing across financial services, across healthcare, across other critical infrastructure areas will ensure that Australia is a safer place to do business and live across a connected society. It’s been a very interesting 12 months and to integrate four businesses is a huge feat. It’s not easy. It’s not something that can be done overnight. There’s so many different things to think about from a cultural level, from a service level, from a sales level, from a marketing perspective, from a finance perspective. And to be honest, it can be really overwhelming at times. But then I want to see us as an integrated firm, helping organisations like New South Wales Police, Suncorp, Macquarie Bank, Service New South Wales, or JB Hi-Fi to support their customers in a more secure way and help them to digitally transform. All those late nights and early mornings, make it all worthwhile.

Our Sekurians

Some of the lessons we’ve learned is about the importance of taking people on the journey. The journey has been one that was started by seven founders deciding that they wanted to come together, but it’s been executed by a team of experts and a team of loyal employees who we are so grateful everyday to deliver upon the promise of this organisation. It’s down to those employees who are with us today, and those employees who are still to join us, which will redefine the success of Sekuro as we enable organisations to be fearless in the digital economy of Australia and the APJ region. There’s been so many times that I sit back, reflect, and I’m just so proud of the business.

I love when employees travel interstate, and before you know it, there are events where people are just catching up for drinks and coffees. That camaraderie of bringing people together across quizzes and ‘Party on us’, seeing everyone’s face on the team screen, and then seeing the same people being able to catch up in person, shake hands, have a hug, and have a conversation that enables them both to feel much more part of this fabric of Sekuro. And it’s the fabric of Sekuro and getting the Sekuro way embedded and executed is what I’m going to focus on for the next 12 months and beyond.

Looking Forward

The Sekuro way of working will be one where we deliver empathy, expertise, and professionalism at all times to our customers, to our partners, and most importantly, to our people who make us such a special organisation. So on reflection, it’s been a wonderful 12 months.

I can't wait to see what the next 12 months brings us. I'm sure it's packed with full of highs, full of surprises, and full of some challenging times as well. But we'll overcome those challenges and continue to thrive on our mission to become the number one trusted partner across security and digital transformation in the Asia Pacific region.

Let's bring it on.
